Pretty in Patchwork – Holidays

December 18, 2011

Oh boy dear readers, where the heck have I been? Sorry for being MIA for the past month, life just got completely nutso on us over here and it’s just too darn hard to  blog while you’re  bailing water from your proverbial life raft.

Not to fear however, everything worked out for the better in the end, as things always do! *grin*

And now to play catch up…

By now I’m sure you’ve seen this treasure of an ebook floating about the interwebs:

Written by my talented friend John Adams, the infamous “Quilt Dad”  it was released last month by Lark Books as an ebook special preview, and will be published in a hard copy book format next spring…

Did you happen to see this page?

*eep*!! My work has been published again! I can’t tell you how thrilled I was when John asked me to be a part of this awesome team of creative collaborators!

The theme was winter holiday projects and I thought it might be fun to have a polar bear go on holiday to the south pole, and suddenly “Greetings from Antarctica” came to be.

This is a fun trio of 18″ Pillows, featuring a hidden zipper closure and mini pieced panels on the back.

Oh did I have fun making these..

And you will too… IF you don’t mind waiting until next spring. You see, somehow the patterns for my pillows are totally mixed up and don’t show any of the needed numbers and letters, and none of the dashed lines are right.

Edited: Holy Moses they’ve already fixed the ebook version! *HUGE JUMPING JACK GRIN*

You should also dive in and start making some of the other ridiculously charming projects like this darling little hedgie and pillowcase combo designed by Nichole Vos Van Avezathe:

Or this gorgeous table runner designed by Jessica Kovach:

Since I got to see sneak peeks of many of the projects as they were developed earlier in the year, I already dove in and whipped up one of Christina’s wine carriers

as a gift for my son’s teacher last June…

It was a hit, and would make an excellent hostess gift!

Thanks so much for popping by today and sharing in my fun news.  And thank-you for buying and blogging about the wonderful things you’re making with my patterns! Oh have I seen some great stuff lately. If you’ve never noticed it before, I keep a list of all the sites and blogs which have featured or talked about my patterns over there up on the right ——————————————–>

They’re listed under the heading “ Recent Mentions

I’m so overdue for another post showcasing all of your fun projects. If you know of a link that should be listed please drop me an email and let me know. You can also upload any project photos you have which feature an Artisania pattern to the Flickr Group. This is where I will pull the photos from when I showcase your work and I would hate to miss yours!

If you’ve been featured already and/or would like one of these fancy new badges:

Scroll up and look on the right side bar for the html codes. I tried to post them here in the post but for the life of me it wouldn’t work properly!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and I’ll try to post one more time before the jolly man comes to visit 🙂

Thanks Arita! Unfortunately these 3 patterns will only be available in this book. My patterns which have been published in Quiltmaker will be added to my shop in the coming months.
