About

Hi there! Thanks so much for popping by!

I’m Sonja Callaghan, and I’m a west coast gal from Vancouver BC, Canada. Designing quilt patterns is my obsession and I’ve been working to get as many fun and quirky patterns into my instant download pattern shop as I can.

For the past 2 years I’ve been in collaboration with Quiltmaker Magazine, designing kids themed paper pieced quilt and project patterns for both their regular issues and their special issues. I have several more in the works for Quiltmaker so keep your eye out!

Some of my patterns have also been published in collaborative books including:
– Modern Blocks by Susanne Woods
– Pretty in Patchwork Holidays by John Q. Adams, and more to come!

I’ve been designing for about 6 years now, and I’m always refining and cleaning up my process to offer fun patterns, in a nice range of levels, which still retain that quirky style I love so much. I do my best to write clear and easy to follow instructions and I’m always open to new ideas and suggestions on how I can improve my patterns.

You can keep up with newly published patterns, read some fun tidbits about the modern quilt scene in the north west coast, and find all kinds of video and photo tutorials, and free patterns on my blog.

If you have an idea for a pattern you would really love to see, please drop me a line and let me know below! I keep a list of customer requests which I refer to when the time comes to design new patterns.

Happy Sewing!

Sonja

Hey Kristen, so glad you figured it out! I love quilter’s cache, what an amazing resource. I fiddled around with some of the letters to make the piecing a little easier. I’ll email you in a bit 🙂
