Your Beautiful Projects of 2011
The Artisania Patterns Gallery Group on Flickr is a constant source of joy for me. I can’t even begin to tell you how happy and sunshiny I feel inside when I see a project made using one of my patterns!
It might seem silly to say, but even the smallest and quickest little project someone may whip up on a whim, completely validates my work. You’re really the reason I do this.
Yes, I am trying to somehow make a living here, doing something I absolutely love,
but at the end of the day it’s so much more important for me to see your happiness and satisfaction.
Whenever someone emails me that one of my patterns, or video tutorials helped them learn how to paper piece I literally do a happy dance. I’m not kidding!
Hi Sonja!
I just wanted to let you know that I used your Lil Fox Pattern to make a mini-quilt for a friend’s holiday gift and she loved it! It is such a cute pattern and it was my first time paper-piecing. So thank you for helping me to get over that sewing hurdle. 🙂I also wanted to let you know my purchase went smooth and worked fine.
Have a great holiday!
Jeanne

I cried when Theresa emailed me about the memory quilt she made of her cat with my Oto pattern.
In Memory of My Kitty, Murphy
Dear Sonja,
Attached is a picture of my quilted version of your Scottish Fold quilt pattern. I made this in memory of my Scottish Fold kitty, Murphy; then put it in a frame. You may notice the black on the head stops above the eyes, rather than down past; I modified the pattern, so it was true to my kitty.
Anyway, I thought you would enjoy seeing your pattern finished in another style. And again, thank you so much for creating this pattern; I love it! Now, I just need a pattern for a Labrador, so I can do a framed picture of our dog…LOL
Sincerely,
Theresa
It’s hockey season again and I have to say I LOVE Arita’s feminine take on the Canucks Hockey Stick:
And Halloween brought some fun sightings this year. CreativeDawn went Halloween gaga! I love all of it!

And finally the Lil’ Fox has also been popping up around Flickrland lately. This adorable milkmaid apron by Racey Tae is so completely charming:
As is this Foxy backing to Caroline’s Pillow Talk Swap pillow. I adore the fabrics she chose, and so did her partner!
And then Miss Amy of Stichery Dickory Dock contacted me via Twitter and showed me these little heartstealers:
Well done ladies!! What a fabulous collection of handiwork! Please be sure to grab a “featured” button from up on the right for your blogs!
Oh, Yay! My mummy got a shoutout! 😀
He was so fun to make. I need to make one for myself now. 🙂 I think I want to do the whole Halloween Quilt of Awesomeness with batiks.
Oh my, you are such an inspiration. Just look at all the goodness from your awesome patterns. My hedgie mushroom quilt was donated to AAQI to raise money for Alzheimer’s research. Look, Carol Doak posed in front of it: http://nostalgiccafe.blogspot.com/2011/11/chilly-and-chili.html Thank you for all you do.
Oh, you are the paper piecing pattern maker genius! I just had a great time making your wonderful Halloween patterns. They were so inspiring and the ladies that I swapped with really enjoyed the cats! The lady who received the tote and rug mats were was just over the moon about them. Thanks for featuring me on your blog…It is my FIRST time! WOW!
