Which do you Prefer?
So I’m trying out a new format for my next pattern, the I Love Sushi Little Quilt Pattern.
Not only will it include full piecing instructions for the quilt top, and all of the individual sushi blocks,
The patterns will be more developed with:
- seam allowance markings,
- color and coding,
- extra labels
- and mini instructions for the next step in constructing the blocks.
I know for me less is more. I guess because I’ve got the paper piecing process down pat, I personally find the extra markings too confusing and cluttery. The process of cutting apart the pattern on the seam lines helps my brain remember how to piece them back together, and I also find I end up making cutting errors when I see that seam allowance marked only on the perimeter of the pattern.
But maybe for you less is just less? What you do think? Which format is easier for you to work with?

Thank-you so so much for letting me know what you think! I’m working like crazy to get this pattern done for you soon. I know better than to make any promises, but maybe by next week?
