Some Wedding dress progress

June 1, 2009

Oh man. For reasons I realize are unexplained on here, all of my sewing stuff is now an hour’s drive away at my great aunt’s house. So if I need to sew anything, ie. the wedding dress, I have to pack up and drive down the freeway.

Anyway, I’m too exhausted for a lovely explanitory blog post at the moment. Suffice to say I’ve made some progress, and may have found the final pattern for the bodice lining.

The request was for more coverage. I think it’s looking pretty good.

I managed to insert a zipper in this trial piece so that we can have a fitting before Analise takes off for 2 weeks back east.

Well, considering that it’s now 1:44am,  I’m off to bed. Gnight!

It looks great! She’s lucky to have such a wonderful future SIL that goes to such lengths to ensure her dress is wonderful. When is the wedding?

Hi! I found your site from your posting on Pattern Review. I really think you will need some boning in the bodice to make it support the weight of the skirt without slipping down.
